Casting Call - Danny - Out Gay Youth

We require a male co-star for a 1 hour narrative movie on the life of a closeted teen.

Role

The character is that of the popular gay youth, confident in his sexuality, good looking and loving attention yet at the same time caring and compassionate. Party boy, cuddler and confident, he helps the star better understand the gay lifestyle and eventually becomes the target of his affections.

Requirements

Male actor - Physical appearance and body language must be able to reflect that of a 16 to 21 year old gay youth. Must be able to portray both a confident and self-assured manner as well as a caring and sometimes romantic image. There won't be any full nudity, however, the role does have a passionate scene dressed only in a towel and actor must be comfortable making out with Aiden, the closeted star ,on camera.

Time Commitment

This role will take approximately 4 evenings and three full days on weekends to shoot. One of the full day sessions will be at the Pride activities in Toronto on either the 29th or 30th of June. We will make every effort to work around cast time commitments. Depending upon cast availability, our hope would be to shoot everything between June 22nd & July 12th. We may, however, need to extend shooting dates on into August if a number of the cast have holidays planned in July.

We regret that this is a no pay role since the project is being financed out of our own pockets in an attempt to help the many closeted youth out there, and hopefully prevent at least some of them from committing suicide as an answer to their angst. Lodging and transportation will be provided, however, for the Toronto shoot.

Our intention is to initially distribute this film to festivals in order to better promote it to the rainbow community and eventually to provide it for free distribution.
